Overview

Worked under Take-Two Interactive's established studio, Intercept Games, to help design the UI and iconography for Kerbal Space Program 2 (KSP2). I helped redesign the UI from the original KSP to enhance the user experience for the newer game as well as designed the visual language and collaborated closely with other UI/UX designers.

Problem
Problem
Problem
  • Key actions and information weren’t always easy to find, especially during more complex moments of gameplay

  • Visual hierarchy was weak, which made important elements compete instead of guiding the player

  • The UI felt more utility-driven than player-driven, with little feedback or personality

  • There was an opportunity to make the UI more stylized while improving clarity, flow, and overall usability

Solution
Solution
Solution
  • Created a cohesive visual language that seamlessly integrated into the UI, enhancing the game's aesthetic and usability.

  • Redesigned the UI from the original game, focusing on improving user experience and visual

    clarity

  • Collaborated with UX Designers to ensure the UI was intuitive and engaging for players

  • Contributed to the development of iconography, menus, and HUD elements that aligned with the game's theme and style
